CANSAS is a new concept in the decentralized capture of physical measurement data. It‘s made for applications in which analog signals must be connected, dynamically recorded and transmitted near their sensor sources.
The modules include high-performance, synchronizable measurement amplifiers, some modules even providing the necessary sensor supply. Integrated signal processors provide the capability for real-time computations with result data, and reduction of the bus load. The digitalized measurement signals are outputted as CAN messages in accordance with ISO 11898, or as CANopen messages. These are universally importable by measurement devices having a CAN-interface or also by automation systems, machine control units, etc.
